Both people were taken to Bendigo Hospital.
That included a man in his 80s who was transported in a stable condition with minor injuries.
He is understood to have been the person who had been mechanically trapped in the car during the crash.
Ambulance Victoria has not confirmed the status of the other person but police have said they had minor injuries.
UPDATE, 5PM: Two people have been hospitalised after a car and caravan flipped on a country road in central Victoria.
Paramedics have left the scene.
Their patients both have minor injuries.
Lyell Road could reopen soon.
UPDATE, 4.30PM: SES crews have removed a person trapped in a car that flipped east of Bendigo.
They have handed the person over to paramedics.
The SES volunteers have now headed back to their base in Bendigo.
Images from the scene show the caravan on its side with police and other emergency people on scene.
Multiple crews remain on scene at the crash site.
UPDATE, 4.05PM: An ambulance has been seen leaving the scene of a crash with its lights on.
It comes as a rescue operation continues east of Bendigo.
Roads are closed in the area including on Twin Rivers Road.
UPDATE, 3.50PM: SES crews have begun ripping the door off a car that has flipped east of Bendigo.
They are cutting into the vehicle and plan to remove a trapped person.
Another person was in the car at the time of the crash but was able to leave.
Paramedics and firefighters are on scene.
EARLIER: A vehicle and caravan have flipped near Lake Eppalock, blocking multiple lanes of traffic.
Emergency crews are on scene.
The incident is unfolding in the Kimbolton area along Lyell Road.
Firefighters are managing traffic but motorists should try to avoid the area if possible.
The Bendigo Advertiser understands one person is trapped in the vehicle.
The nature of any injuries is not yet known.
