BENDIGO'S Austen Flint has earned selection in Victoria Country's under-16 boys' basketball team to contest this year's national championships.

The son of long-time Bendigo Braves player and coach, David Flint, Austen was in hot form at the selection trials held in Ballarat on the Labour Day holiday weekend.
Head coaches Jacqui Henry (girls) and Jamie O'Loughlin (boys) named 10 players and four emergencies for the teams.
Bendigo's Kerryn Harrington is an emergency for the girls' team.
The build-up for Victoria Country to the titles wil include six weekend live-in camps.
The national under-16 basketball championships will be played in Ballarat from June 24 to July 1.
Victoria Country won the under-16 boys' crown last year.
