One of the biggest changes to the team for the 2020 season is an influx of junior players who have risen the ranks to senior level.
"It's fantastic to see the natural progression for the girls who have experience from the junior ranks and are now part of our senior group," Storm coach Graham Gamble said.
"We have eight players who have come up from the under-18 team.
"They provide some youth within our team to ensure we have a mixture of strengths for the upcoming season."
The 2020 season will also mark Gamble's third year as coach.
"I'm now feeling experienced alongside a core group of players we've retained from the past two years," he said.
"They've learnt the fundamentals of the game and are showing great signs of development."
In addition to the juniors and core players, the Storm are on the lookout for new players to join the team, with opportunities available to attend pre-season training sessions.
"We've brought the group together for pre-season sessions to get an understanding of who is and who isn't playing.
"We're also inviting newcomers who have shown interest in football to come along to one of our training sessions and have a go."
During the team's first season in 2018, the Storm made it into the inaugural CVFLW grand final against Bendigo Thunder, finishing as runners-up.
In the 2019 season they made it to the preliminary final, but were nudged out by Kangaroo Flat.
"Strathfieldsaye has such a strong history as a football club and is a great platform for both team and individual development," Gamble said.
"The CVFLW league's overall standard has taken a quantum leap forward."
The league has been bolstered with the addition of a seventh team for the 2020 season, Kerang Senior Women.
