Terry Smith rallied his way to the semi-finals of the 70-plus singles.
After a 6-7 loss in the first set, Smith struck back for a 6-3 victory in the second against Peter Keller.
The deciding set ended in a 6-0 win for Keller who went on to claim the title.
Smith also figured prominently in the 65-plus and 70-plus doubles.
He teamed with Graham Wurtz for a 6-2 6-4 win in the semi-final clash with Dennis Bindon and Graham Walsh.
Smith and Wurtz conceded a walkover in the final.
It was the same scenario after Smith and Hayden Rees could not take to the court for the 70-plus doubles final.
Strathfieldsaye’s Kieran Fitzgerald joined forces with Maryborough’s Kelvin Noonan in the 65-plus doubles.
Stung by a 6-3 loss in the opening set of their semi-final, Fitzgerald and Noonan fought back for a 6-3 win in the second.
The deciding set ended in a 6-2 victory for opponents Robert Murton and Rob Prouse.
In the 60-plus singles, Noonan’s run was ended in the second round. Fitzgerald was beaten in round three.
Bendigo’s Michael Smyth teamed with Anthony Campbell in the 50-plus doubles. Their campaign was ended in a 7-5 6-3 loss to Peter Gard and Michael Victory in the quarter-finals.
