Both Canberra and Adelaide have reached the grand final after being non-playoff teams last season.
ROOS LOOKING FOR MORE PLAYERS FOR 2019 SEASON
The Kangaroo Flat Junior Football Club is ready to play for back-to-back premierships in the Bendigo Junior Football league.
The club is in need of more players aged 15-17 for its under-18 girls team to join the ranks for the upcoming season.
KF JFC coach Mark Hull said members from last year’s premiership team had advanced to the senior division.
“A few of our players advanced to the senior team and we will have some coming up from the under-15s, but there’s still room for more players,” Hull said.
Hull said players were joining more than a club, but instead a wider community.
“This is a great opportunity to forge new friendships in a sport that is becoming very popular among the girls,” he said.
“Some players might be slightly intimidated by the sport initially, but once they get going they will thrive and get plenty enjoyment out of playing.”
The team trains at 5.30pm every Wednesday at Dower Park and will be holding a registration session on Sunday 17 February.
For more information please contact Mark Hull on 0401 226 272.
