"It's a chance to get together over a nice lunch, and enjoy some great hospitality and festivities in a friendly atmosphere," he said.
"We know that 2020 has also brought a lot of change and new challenges for many people so we expect to see some new faces this year. Come alone or bring your family and friends. We encourage you to book your place now and be part of this special day."
The Christmas lunch is traditionally organised by St Vincent de Paul Society members and volunteers but this year Castlemaine Community House is hosting the event and working in partnership with a range of community groups and organisations.
As well as a main course and dessert, the event will include music and activities.
The Castlemaine Community Christmas Lunch is on at Castlemaine Town Hall from 12.30pm to 2pm on December 25. To book, volunteer or make a donation phone 5472 4842 or email reception@cch.org.au
