Violet's family was overseas when she went missing in Sydney's northern beaches while out with a dog walker on March 31.
A heartwarming community effort followed, with residents determined to bring her home.
The Find Violet Facebook page grew to more than 1000 members who posted possible sightings, went out on foot and sent drones into the air to track her down.
The night before she was found, a dog thought to be Violet was heard howling in bushland and NSW Fire and Rescue were brought in to try and retrieve her.
Those efforts were unsuccessful but then early on April 4 the news everyone was waiting for came - she was found.
An emotional video of Violet and her owner Perry Han reunited on a suburban street was posted by a group member who had joined the search efforts.
"Found and well," they posted.
"She came out of the bushland and a chase ensued. Seven or so people in cars, on foot, and many in spirit."

Community spirit shines in rescue
The following day Mr Han posted a video of Violet sleeping at home in the sun.
He had flown back to Australia to join the search effort and said he couldn't thank the community enough.
"Your response has been massive and quite overwhelming," he said.
"We wouldn't have found her without every single person who was out there looking.
"From the moment my wife put the call out on social media, so many of you just jumped on straight away and started helping."
