A primary school principal who was well known to the Ballarat community has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash in central Victoria.

Natte Yallock Primary School principal Soraya Hepburn died after a car and truck collided on the Sunraysia Highway at Lamplough about 8.15am on Tuesday, May 7.
In a post to its Facebook page on Wednesday morning, Natte Yallock Primary School confirmed Ms Hepburn's death.
"Soraya Hepburn was much loved principal of Natte Yallock Primary School for the past two years and an integral member of the Pyrenees Cluster and North Principal Network," the post said.
"Soraya was a highly regarded teacher at Waubra Primary School for many years prior to this.
"Soraya was also a parent and long-standing School Council member at Woodmans Hill Secondary College. She will be greatly missed by many."
"Our deepest sympathies to Soraya's family and loved ones at this difficult time, as well as our students, families, staff and local community."
Ballarat Highway Patrol officers are investigating the crash and the exact circumstances are yet to be determined.
